Texas Governor Greg Abbott to Deliver Closing Keynote for Gulf Coast Industry Forum

DEER PARK, Texas - Amzeal -- Texas Governor Greg Abbott confirmed he will deliver a keynote address to close the Economic Alliance Houston Port Region annual outlook conference September 22, 2022. As a two-term Texas governor, Abbott is expected to highlight Texas' economic development successes and his support for unleashing Texas and America's energy development to reduce high energy costs impacting the U.S. economy.

Abbott will be speaking at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, Texas, the heart of a multi-billion-dollar petrochemical industry and the nation's largest port for waterborne tonnage - Port Houston. The Gulf Coast Industry Forum audience includes maritime, logistics, chemical and refining businesses along with vendors and contractors that supply, service, build and maintain the nation's largest petrochemical complex. The region refines more than 25 percent of U.S. gasoline supply and nearly 50 percent of building block materials used to manufacture essential products that drive the U.S. and world economies.

Port Houston has been the presenting sponsor of the Economic Alliance Houston Port Region (http://www.allianceportregion.com/) Gulf Coast Industry Forum since its inception in 2010.

Before his election as the 48th Governor of Texas, Abbott was the 50th and longest serving Attorney General of Texas. He previously served as a Justice on the Texas Supreme Court and as a State District Judge in Harris County.
