Saelig Introduces Sensepeek SQG Passive 6GHz Probe Series
Amzeal News/10588205
For troubleshooting high-speed digital designs, Sensepeek's range of AC and DC-coupled probes offers the versatility and precision that HF electronics engineers demand, and at a much lower cost than active probes
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Amzeal -- https://www.saelig.com/pr/sqg-probes.htmlSaelig Company, Inc. has introduced the Sensepeek SQG-series of passive high-frequency hands-free oscilloscope probes, designed for both AC and DC GHz applications. When used with Sensepeek baseplates or handheld, this groundbreaking series enables engineers to perform measurements up to 6GHz economically and without the need to solder connections to the test PCB.
Maintaining measurement signal integrity is crucial, and the SQG-series has exceptionally low probe-tip capacitance, which minimizes loading and signal distortion for sensitive circuits. Measuring high data rate signals is now economical and precise with these passive probes that offer a flat frequency response over a wide frequency range. The series is available as either AC or DC-coupled probes for precise signal integrity measurements across a wide range of uses. Other low-impedance probes can load the signal being probed, reducing its amplitude. For DC biassed signals, these inferior probes can source or sink current from the signal source, potentially affecting the operating bias of sensitive devices. But by reducing the probe's loading effect and ensuring consistent broadband performance, waveforms and their spectral content and phase are not adversely affected by SQG probes.

AC-coupled probing is particularly advantageous when working with DC-biased data streams, such as those found in high-speed interfaces like USB, HDMI, and SATA, or differential signaling standards like ECL and PECL. AC-coupled probes are also ideal for examining small, high-frequency signals on supply lines or control circuits, critical for diagnosing issues such as power supply noise, current ripple, or decoupling inefficiencies.
The six members of the Sensepeek SQC 10:1 passive probe series are: 1.5GHz: SQG15-AC / SQG15-DC – 1.5 GHz; 3.0GHz: SQG30-AC / SQG30-DC; 6.0GHz: SQG60-AC / SQG60-DC. The SQG-series is suitable for use with any 50 ohm input measurement instrument, including: oscilloscopes, spectrum and network analyzers, receivers, power meters, etc.
The SQG-series is the ideal solution for engineers looking for precision, stability, and ease of use in high-frequency measurements. For troubleshooting power integrity problems or analyzing signal fidelity in high-speed digital designs, Sensepeek's range of AC and DC-coupled probes offers the versatility and precision that high-frequency and electronics engineers demand. SQG probes are made in Sweden by Sensepeek AB. It is available now from their from USA technical distributor Saelig.
