BOULDER, Colo. - Amzeal -- Resource Central, a nonprofit organization dedicated to putting conservation into action, just announced the relaunch of its Materials Reuse webpage. From homeowners tackling major renovations to contractors carrying out new developments, everyone is welcome to donate building materials to the program, which they can learn about on the enhanced page.
"We're excited to relaunch the page for our Materials Reuse program," said Neal Lurie, President & CEO. "The redesign emphasizes our underlying mission, which is at the heart of the program. When people donate building materials, they're reducing waste while supporting a more sustainable future."

Since its inception, Resource Central's Materials Reuse program has diverted more than 50 million pounds of materials from local landfills. The donations, which include both used materials from deconstructions and leftover materials from new builds, are either reclaimed for other projects or resold for significantly less than their retail value.
On the updated page, visitors can explore the kinds of donations that are accepted, including cabinets, shelving, plumbing fixtures, lumber, appliances, lighting, doors, windows, and hardware.
"If you want to donate building materials, the relaunched page is a great place to start," said Neal. "You can learn everything you need to know about the Materials Reuse program, including what we accept, how to handle bulky items, and where to drop off your donations." Mr. Lurie continued, "At Resource Central, we believe everyone has a role to play in protecting the environment. Through this program, we're trying to make it easy for everyone to step in and take on that responsibility."
