Relentless Work for Hospices
Founded in 2009 by Ian Morrish, Together for Cinema works to create cinema rooms that will brighten little lives. To date, the organisation has completed well over 30 hospice cinema rooms, with projects continuously in the pipeline. Connecting consumer electronics communities with not-for-profit charitable activities, Together for Cinema aims to deliver state-of-the art results, with venues such as Jigsaw Children's Hospice in Carlisle, Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People in Loughborough, and Dougie Mac Children's Hospice in Stoke-on-Trent all recently benefitting from the work.
Together for Cinema also finds homes for dated, second-hand and B-stock audio visual equipment in facilities that would otherwise not have had a budget to acquire them. Following continuous support from many companies including New Wave AV, the organisation has a busy time ahead and has already made plenty of plans. Their to-do list includes organising a celebratory Million Pound Ball for May 2024, developing plans to deliver newly released film content to the children's hospices (a meeting with Disney is in the pipelines for March) and continuing to recycle AV products to good causes. Together for Cinema also intends to develop the Cisco support for children's hospices.
