HFES Hosts its Signature Event, the 67th International Annual Meeting Featuring Exclusive Research

More Than 1,500 Academics, Researchers, Students, Practitioners and Other Professionals from Around the World Will Attend This Educational Event
WASHINGTON - Amzeal -- The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) will host its 67th International Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., from October 23-27. The premier scientific meeting will feature content focused on the most innovative research, best practices, effective policies and emerging trends affecting human factors and ergonomics today. Topics will include human-AI teaming, trust in automated vehicles, exoskeletons, simulations innovations, product design, evolutions in healthcare and much more.
"HFES' commitment to innovation and the exchange of knowledge is a top priority," said Susan Kotowski, President-Elect of HFES. "This fall, we are looking forward to hosting our annual meeting in Washington, D.C., and unveiling an exciting announcement that will continue to demonstrate the strength and trustworthiness of HFES as an association that serves its members and the science of HF/E."

The annual meeting will feature more than 130 concurrent sessions, plenary sessions, plus interactive poster presentations and demonstrations. From interactive workshops led by subject matter experts to deep dive sessions on pressing topics in the field, this meeting is an exclusive chance to stay ahead of the curve. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to network with colleagues at various social events, the Student Career and Professional Development Day, the National Ergonomics Month Expo, Technical Group meetings and a User Experience Day.
"The field of human factors and ergonomics serves as a combination of numerous disciplines that touches every facet of the modern human experience," said Dr. Farzan Sasangohar, International Annual Conference Chair. "HFES' annual event continues to be the most anticipated meeting of the year, with a diverse landscape of information and content to explore and take part in."

HFES will also host the 9th ErgoX Symposium preceding the 67th Annual Meeting on October 23, 2023. With the goal to improve safe and effective technology user adoption, ErgoX will offer a virtual and physical space to display the latest in technology evolution, research and application and their intersection with human-system interaction and integration. The symposium will feature four educational tracks – Cybersecurity, Exoskeletons, Robotics, and Extended Reality, all aimed at sharing the latest insights on procedures, tools, and approaches for on-the-job safety and wellness from world-class ergonomics and safety experts.
