Generative AI To Spur Growth of Quantum Computing
Amzeal News/10539749
Developers Worldwide Say Security Is the Obstacle That Will Fall
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Amzeal -- Evans Data Corp.'s recently released Global Development Survey Report reveals that one in five developers familiar with quantum computing feel that security is the most significant barrier for quantum computing adoption. However, the worldwide survey, conducted in six languages last month, also showed developers believe that rapid adoption of generative AI will reduce security issues thus reducing the barrier to quantum computing. In North America, the plurality of developers, 38%, cited improved code security as the main change they expect generative AI to bring in the next year.
Generative AI is also having a significant impact on project development timelines. Eighty-eight percent of developers who have used generative AI have experienced reduced development times. "The increasing use of foundation models and generative AI speeds up code generation, error correction, and the software development process," said Janel Garvin, Evans Data Corp. CEO, "Generative AI amplifies output and efficiency for many developers and will bring benefits that ripple across other technologies."

Over one-third of global developers believe generative AI and machine learning will be the first important applications for quantum computing. North America is ahead of other regions worldwide embracing quantum computing with 36% of developers having explored the technology. Latin America is close behind in familiarity while APAC and EMEA lag behind.
Celebrating its 25th year of publication, Evans Data Corp's biannual survey stands as the de facto industry benchmark for developer trends and adoption patterns.
