From Courtroom to Coinstore: Gram Trading Launches, Marking Lantah's Defiant Trademark Victory

OLDSMAR, Fla. - Amzeal -- Big News for GRAM™ Cryptocurrency

The Board of Directors of Lantah.org is pleased to announce that the official GRAM™ is now open for trading! This victory is a testament to our resilience and determination. If you're new to our community, here's some background on what we have been through to bring this launch to fruition.

We first endured a costly legal battle against Telegram over the "GRAM" trademark. The dispute began when Telegram opposed our trademark registration, claiming our use of "GRAM" was in bad faith. It really was a David and Goliath battle. Telegram claimed to have been using the "GRAM" trademark since December 22, 2017. However, we provided evidence of using "GRAM" from January 17, 2017— over 11 months earlier than Telegram's claimed date.

Telegram argued that our trademark would confuse consumers into believing there was an affiliation between Lantah and Telegram. We demonstrated that the term "GRAM" was derived from the metric system, not from Telegram's brand.

Telegram's main accusation was that we acted in "bad faith" by filing the trademark. However, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California found no evidence of bad faith. We also noted that Telegram did not claim bad faith in their opposition in the EU, raising questions about the strength of their argument. This inconsistency helped undermine their position.

Our victory came from meticulous analysis and a solid argument that combined logic and evidence. We showed that our intentions were genuine and unrelated to Telegram's brand. Telegram was then ordered to pay Lantah $625,000 in legal fees. This victory reaffirmed our commitment to innovation and integrity.

At Lantah, we stand strong against challenges, ensuring our mission to enhance global commerce through decentralized solutions remains unwavering. We believe in building a fair and efficient global economy with blockchain technology. Our win was a testament to our dedication and resilience. We believe in our mission and will NEVER give up.
