Dr. Betty Cheng to Join ETG's Executive Team as a Partner

FAIRFIELD, Calif. - Amzeal -- Dr. Betty Cheng will soon be joining Emerging Technology Group LLC (ETG) and their executive team as a formal partner of the organization. She has extensive experience when it comes to research, technical writing, and training. Her contribution as a seasoned trainer and program manager will be extremely valuable when training employees in the ever-growing ETG team.

Dr. Cheng has pioneering background starting new graduate programs using distance education on a global scale. Twenty-three years ago, her first foundational program united six Universities on five continents creating a coherent curriculum accessible to students anywhere within reach of the Internet. Two years later, she was instrumental in the creation of innovative programs including a distance education Master's program at Stanford University. The innovative program which made graduate education accessible to working students shattered myths about the quality of distance education and the students who chose this educational option. Graduates from this program have gone on to become faculty at distinguished educational institutions such as Harvard.

Moving beyond the classroom, Dr. Cheng was instrumental in the creation of the Stanford-South Africa Biomedical Informatics program which partnered three Universities to create a new graduate program in South Africa. The program enabled research collaborations using a blend of live teaching, distance learning support as well as Visiting Scholarships to critical research locations. The program prepared students for, and, allowed global access to Stanford's research excellence.
