Amzeal News/10488210
MCLEAN, Va. - Amzeal -- The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) offered high school students a cost-free opportunity to learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from 5-6 p.m. ET via Zoom. The theme was the Internet of Things (IoT) in healthcare.
Distinguished speakers:
Carlos Albuja is Product Manager, Strategy and Innovation at Amgen.
Dr. Steve Hershman is Director of mHealth in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Stanford Medicine where he is leading the MyHeart Counts study and launching a portfolio of new mHealth projects related to pediatric diseases, telerehabilitation, and eConsent-based biobank recruiting.
This virtual event is part of CEE's STEM Lyceums, a series of monthly virtual meetings that engage high school students in discussion and exploration of STEM concepts and unique STEM career pathways, provided at no cost to schools or students. Students interact with STEM professionals and fellow students, both national and international. Meetings foster critical thinking skills, encourage excitement for science, and prepare students to enter STEM careers.
