Following this, Guberman returned to the DHS subcommittee on June 18, where he observed Boeing CEO David Calhoun's deposition. Upon discovering that Calhoun's background was in accounting rather than engineering or aviation, Guberman became increasingly concerned about Boeing's leadership capabilities. To address these concerns, in July, Guberman submitted a 42-page document, including his résumé and 11 letters of recommendation, to Boeing's Board of Directors at their corporate headquarters in Virginia.
